New KID report shows injuries, incidents up in 2016 recalls

  On Monday, along with Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan, US PIRG and Illinois Action for Children, KID released new data on product recalls and children’s safety. This year marked a reversal of decreasing recall and injury numbers that the U.S. has seen in past years. KID and Shane’s Foundation Release Report on Furniture Stability

A child dies from tipping furniture, appliances or TVs every two weeks. The statistics for tip-over incidents have grown over the last decade, yet there has been little reform to safety standards.
