Safety has always been a passion for Leslie, she has over 25 years of experience in the Environmental, Health and Safety Profession. Kids In Danger is a perfect fit for her values and commitment to child safety advocacy. She currently works as a Senior Consultant at Aon Global Risk Consulting and still finds the time to serve as an essential member of our Board of Directors.
- Linda Ginzel, Ph.D
Clinical Professor of Managerial Psychology at The University of Chicago Booth School of Business
The co-founder of Kids In Danger, Linda has been advancing children’s product safety since 1998 after the tragic death of her son Danny. While championing our cause, Linda has also been advancing her field of study as a Clinical Professor of Managerial Psychology at the University of Chicago, where she has been a faculty member since 1992.
- Jon Hammer
Consultant, Bain & Company
Jon was introduced to KID through an MBA volunteer project at the University of Chicago, for which he was awarded Volunteer of the Year in 2012. After meeting KID’s founders, volunteers, and board members, Jon was inspired to stay active with KID and has become a member of the board and a part of the Finance Committee. He is excited to help KID grow and keep kids safer across the country.
- Shawn S. Kasserman, Esq.
Partner, Tomasik Kotin Kasserman
Shawn was recently honored with our 2013 Best Friend Award. He served as counsel to our co-founders, Linda Ginzel and Boaz Keysar, in their lawsuit against the manufacturer and licensor of the portable crib that killed their son Danny. Shawn is currently Partner at Tomasik Kotin Kasserman and a vital member of KID’s Board of Directors.
- Boaz Keysar, Ph.D
Professor of Psychology at The University of Chicago
The co-founder of KID, Boaz has been championing children’s product safety since the tragic death of his son Danny in 1998. Boaz continues to advance our cause even as he advances his field of study as a Professor of Psychology and the Chair of the Cognition Program at the University of Chicago, where he has been a faculty member since 1991.
- Kristina Paschall
CIO, Ferrara Candy Company
Kristina joined forces with KID after meeting Linda Ginzel at the University of Chicago, and being inspired by her story and easily moved to action, having three small children of her own. Kristina works as the CIO of Ferrara Candy Company. Having raised money for KID through several Chicago marathons, she and her husband have started the KID Running Team. In 2013 at the Naperville Marathon we had 26 runners raise over $15,000 for KID.

With Geoff’s passion for delivering safe and effective transportation services to the industrial producers, it comes as little surprise that Geoff is an expert at steering his clients to safety. As a member of KID’s Board of Directors, Geoffrey brings that expertise to help steer KID in the right direction and bring child product safety to the forefront of our nation’s priorities.

He is the founder and principal of mpr group and has received a Lifetime Senior Professional in Human Resources certification, the highest official recognition of his profession. Julius brings his stellar community service record and professional excellence to our Board of Directors.

Executive Beauty Director, Teen Vogue
Judy joined KID after the tragic death of her son Andy who suffocated on an infant sleep positioner. Despite her demanding position as the Executive Beauty Director at Teen Vogue, Judy has become a tireless advocate for safer children’s products. Judy’s commitment to her role as a member of our Board of Directors has helped to spread KID’s message to New York City.

Professor of Pediatrics-Emergency Medicine and Preventive Medicine, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
Karen is a Professor in Pediatrics-Emergency Medicine and Preventive Medicine at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, as well as Medical Director of the Injury Prevention and Research Center at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. She has committed herself to a life of advancing the health of children. Her experience in working on childhood injury prevention is an invaluable addition to KID’s board.

The General Counsel for Mazzetta Company LLC, Steven has had a distinguished career as a lawyer. He is a leading figure in the field of tax law. This has kept his calendar very full and yet he finds a way to devote his time and expertise to our Board of Directors.

Professor of Pediatrics, Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago
Bob received our 2007 Best Friend Award for his leadership in injury prevention research and policy. A professor of pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, Bob has dedicated himself to a career of improving children’s health. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the AAP Section on Injury, Violence, and Poison Prevention for 11 years, and Chairman for 4. Bob has conducted research and published widely in the areas of child and adolescent injuries.
