Safe from the Start (SFTS) —
launched in January 2005.
Safe from the Start is KID's most far-reaching effort yet in its mission
to inform the public about the dangers of children's products.
An extension of the successful Health Care Providers Outreach Program (HCPOP),
this program seeks to reach even more parents and caregivers not only through
their pediatricians, but also through community centers, government agencies
and women's clinics so that information is more accessible to all caregivers.
Safe from the Start offers a variety of materials to help deliver this important life-saving information.
Order a copy of our Safe from the Start DVD/VHS,
an 8 minute video for patient waiting rooms and lobbies
in doctors' offices, emergency rooms and birthing centers, detailing small and large actions parents can take
to keep kids safe.
Download an updated Stroller Safety brochure which offers
a list or recalled strollers as well as important
